About Tyler

Tyler Cannon is a former All-ACC shortstop and MLB Draft pick.

He spent seven years at Liberty University, where he specialized in player development, hitting, and team defense. Tyler helped guide the Flames to multiple NCAA Regional appearances, record-breaking fielding percentages—including the nation’s best in 2021—and top conference finishes. His work developed numerous all-conference players and MLB draft selections while contributing to Liberty’s rise to national prominence.

A member of the Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame, Cannon enjoyed an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Virginia, where he set multiple records and helped lead the Cavaliers to their first College World Series. Before Liberty, he coached at Army and Virginia, bringing elite experience and a proven track record of success to every program he’s been part of.
